Partnering with the Chief Compliance Officer, the remote AML Compliance Analyst will manage anti-money laundering and compliance operations for Alpaca's digital asset platform, focusing on transaction monitoring, investigations, and regulatory adherence. Key Responsibilities Perform daily review and disposition of transaction monitoring alerts to identify unusual or suspicious activity Conduct deep-dive investigations into complex user accounts and blockchain transactions, preparing Suspicious Activity Reports as needed Utilize on-chain analytics tools to trace cryptocurrency flows and assess illicit finance risks Required Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in AML, transaction monitoring, or financial crimes compliance within a cryptocurrency exchange or fintech Strong understanding of blockchain technology and AML risks associated with the crypto ecosystem Solid grasp of BSA/AML regulations, OFAC sanctions, and FinCEN guidance regarding virtual currency Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and write clear investigative narratives Hands-on experience with blockchain analytics tools and transaction monitoring vendors
