VirtualLicensedMasterSocialWorker(LMSW) tojoinourteaminMichigan.Thisremotepositionrequiresavalid
MichiganDepartmentofEducation(MDE) certificationandwillinvolveprovidingclinicalsocialworkservicestohighschoolstudentswithIEP.Thisincludessocialskillsindividuallyandinsmallgroups.Caseloadsizeiscurrently48students.Thismayincludeopportunitiesforsummerworkforapprovedcompensatorytime.
Asakeymemberofourteam,theLMSWwillworkcollaborativelywithotherprofessionalstoensurestudents'needsaremet.
KeyResponsibilities: - ProvideTherapy: Deliverindividual,group,andfamilytherapysessionsviatelehealth,focusingonmentalhealthissues,trauma,familydynamics,andlifetransitions.
- ConductAssessments: Completecomprehensiveassessments,evaluations,andtreatmentplanningwithclientstoidentifytheirmentalhealthneeds,goals,andstrengths.
- CrisisIntervention: Provideimmediatesupportandinterventionduringcrisissituations,includingriskassessmentsandsafetyplanning.
- ClientAdvocacy: Workasanadvocateforclientstoaccessnecessaryresources,includingcommunityservices,housing,employment,andhealthcare.
- DocumentCare: Maintainaccurateandtimelycasedocumentation,treatmentplans,progressnotes,andotherrecordsincompliancewithethicalstandardsandstateregulations.
- CollaboratewithTeam: Workwithmultidisciplinaryteams,includingothersocialworkers,counselors,andhealthcareproviders,toensurecomprehensiveandcoordinatedcareforclients.
- MaintainLicensureandCompliance: Stayup-to-datewithcontinuingeducationrequirements,licensurerenewal,andcomplywithstateandfederalregulationsrelatedtotelehealthandsocialworkpractices.
- ProvideConsultations: Offerprofessionalconsultationandadvicetofamilymembers,caregivers,andotherserviceprovidersinvolvedintheclient'scare.
Qualifications: - Education: MasterofSocialWork(MSW)fromanaccrediteduniversity.
- Licensure: ValidMichiganLMSWlicensewiththerequiredMichiganDepartmentofEducation(MDE)certification.
- Experience: Minimumof1yearinaschoolsettingpreferred.
- TelehealthExperience: Previousexperienceprovidingvirtualtherapyortelehealthservicesisaplus.
- Skills:
- Strongcommunicationandinterpersonalskills.
- Abilitytomanageacaseloadandworkindependently.
- Excellentorganizationalandtimemanagementskills.
- Knowledgeofmentalhealthdiagnoses,treatmentmodalities,andbestpracticesinsocialwork.
- Proficientinusingtelehealthplatforms,electronichealthrecords(EHR),andotherrelevanttechnologies.
- CommitmenttoDiversity: Abilitytoworkwithadiversepopulationandanunderstandingofcultural,socioeconomic,andenvironmentalfactorsaffectingmentalhealth.
PreferredQualifications: - Experienceworkingwithchildren,adolescents,orfamiliesisaplus.
- KnowledgeofMichigan-specificregulationsandresourcesforsocialservicesandmentalhealth.
