Lockmaster DutiesAs Lockmaster, is responsible for implementation of all site operating and normal maintenance activities involving lock and dam operation and associated buildings, grounds, and equipment operation and maintenance.Plans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities and materials on a week-to-week, project-by-project, month-by-month; and, through involvement with supervisor, longer term basis, as appropriate.Assigns work to individual employees involved in lock and dam operating and site maintenance activities, relying upon working supervisor and/or site mechanic/repairer to provide taskings relative to daily work activities.Supports, implements, and explains management programs such as incentive awards, cost reduction, affirmative action, time and leave, overtime, personnel and others to all subordinate site staff.
